A little, as with any JPEG. The compressor tries the highest quality first and lowers it only as far as it must, never below 60%. If the file is still too big, it makes the photo smaller in pixels instead, which shows less than heavy compression.

The compressor stops before the longest side drops under 320 pixels and tells you the photo is still too big. That only happens with very small custom targets.
