Pinterest video Pin cover from your video

Note the cover time shown under the frame. In the Pinterest app, open the cover settings while posting and move to that time. In Foliwo, open the video’s Thumbnail tab in the composer and drag to the same moment: it is sent as the cover when the post publishes.

Drop the video above, move to the moment you want with the slider, the frame buttons or a typed time, and press “Grab this frame”. Download it as a JPEG or PNG, or copy it to paste into a design tool.

The video’s own resolution, cropped to the shape you pick. A 1080p video gives a 1920 × 1080 frame. It is never enlarged, which would only blur it.

Yes. The frame buttons and the arrow keys on the slider move one frame at a time (a thirtieth of a second), and you can type a time such as 1:04.5.

It looks at 24 moments spread across the video, skips black, white and blank ones (fades and title gaps), and keeps the 6 sharpest, spaced apart so they are different shots. Motion blur scores low, so a frame caught mid-pan is left out.

JPEG for most frames: the file is much smaller and every network takes it. PNG keeps text and sharp edges perfectly, at a much bigger file.

Any video your browser can play: MP4 everywhere, WebM in Chrome, Edge and Firefox, and iPhone videos in Safari. If a video does not open, try another browser or export it as MP4.

Any video works on this page. TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Pinterest each have a page of their own, with the shape their cover is shown at.

No. The grabber runs in your browser and the video never leaves your device. It is kept in this browser only, so your frames are still here when you come back, until you clear them.

Create a Foliwo account to schedule it. For Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest videos, the composer has a Thumbnail tab where you pick the cover frame, and it publishes the video with that cover.
