Why Instagram removes your line breaks
Instagram doesn’t document it, but three things cause almost every squashed caption.
A space at the end of a line
A space you can’t see before the line break can take the break with it, and two paragraphs run together. The generator removes every trailing space.
An empty line
A line with nothing on it can be dropped when you paste, so the gap between paragraphs disappears. One invisible character on the line keeps it.
Text from another app
Notes, docs and email often add trailing spaces or invisible characters you never typed. The generator cleans them up the same way.
